As part of the Jeanne Baret series, we invite you to discover this great 18th century explorer.
Born near Bibracte in 1740, Jeanne Baret, explorer and botanist, was the first woman to be identified as having circumnavigated the globe, disguised as a man, on the flute "L'Etoile", with Bougainville's expedition. We propose to spend a day in her footsteps. The programme includes lectures (from 2.30 to 5.30 pm) and a theatrical encounter (8 pm).
Theatre
At 8pm: Jeanne Baret, a woman around the world, a play written and directed by Jacques Arnould.
Note that conferences are also proposed between 2.30 and 5.30 pm.
